For the game in this competition, our robot, Tiger Shark H20, was placed along a beam, while being guided by the driver.
Our lead scientist also acted as a spotter, helping the driver along the way, being their "seeing eye" of sorts.
The goal of the game was to get as many points as possible, including gathering trash using our robot on the beam, while the lead scientist worked with the other teams to solve puzzles for and involving knowledge crucial to the competition.
Just Plane Crazy II - March 2019
For this competition, we were challenged with the task of constructing and programming a robot capable of helping Airbus build a model A320 plane using magnets, and landing it in at least 3 minutes or less, (time management was key).
To go about completing BEST Robotics' selected jobs, we disassembled and modified our previous robot from last year's Current Events competition, in order for it to be in fit shape to complete the tasks.
By doing some major modification, our robot was able to do the basic, rudimentary functions required for competing in this competition.
We placed 2nd in the middle school division, and 3rd overall.
